Trevor Nunn directs Kevin Spacey in Shakespeare's Richard II at the Old Vic in London. It's Spacey's Shakespearean debut as he plays the doomed king himself. It's also the first time that Nunn has directed this play.
Candidates for the Agrégation / CAPES d'anglais" who can get to London might want to take advantage of this opportunity. Tickets (£15-£42.50 with standing room at £7.50) and further information from the Old Vic website (parts of which are scandalously inaccessible to the disabled, although this is not the case in the theatre itself!). Thanks to Gabrielle G for the heads-up on AgreGang.

Watch this video*. In the words of one person I know "That's one video you'd never see on Fox News". Alison Stewart of MSNBC-TV introduces it by saying
What you are about to see is pure desperation on the parts of hundreds of citizens and this tape was, indeed, edited.
In the words of another friend "shocking"

Ok, it's got something to do with Aston Villa Football Club again but what a way to try and sell something on the internet! The description of the item is a joy to read, even if you don't know much about football or the Villa.
