Ellis and O'Leary play Chinese Whispers
David O'Leary has been getting excited at news that Aston Villa will be making substantial funds available this summer. Now, whilst Doug Ellis has been quoted as saying that there would be a measly £4 million on the table, the press are hinting at a bumper £20 million for four or five "quality" players. As ever, it is wise to say ITSOTP, especially as we know better:-
So that's where the twenty million pound figure came from. It all makes sense now!
