To a certain extent I agree with you: all those people talking about "the" blogosphere, "uber" bloggers and linking to people's blogs by their first names, linking, pinging and tracking back thereby creating "noise" in search results...
I do feel that you are a little too scathing though. When it comes to certain niche interests, I find that easy and free access to the work (their "musings" you can take or leave!) some of the world's top experts in their fields is not to be sniffed at. Similarly, I have come across quite a few blogs that are downright fascinating (one by a London ambulance driver springs to mind, though I doubt he will be able to keep us enthralled in the long term).
